Noe grew up on the island of Kauai surrounded by nature in her most elemental and awe-inspiring form, and today she attributes the essence of her style to the Natural World.  Her color palettes often incorporate the jewel-like blue and green tones of the ocean and islands, the warm grays of driftwood, and the soft neutrals of sand and clouds.  Her materials are always textural and rich, raw and elegant. Her spaces are bold, clean, and clearly evocative of the client.

Noe graduated from Punahou School and earned a BA in Art History from Smith College, during which time she worked in the 20th Century Art Department at the Honolulu Museum of Art and in New York City at the fashion magazine Bazaar.  During her final year Smith College awarded her an architecture grant to study in Europe, the Greek Isles, and Istanbul.

After college Noe worked in San Francisco and Los Angeles in the film industry as a set decorator and stylist for feature films, commercials, and music videos. Eventually, her work in set design inspired her to go back to school and she graduated from UCLA’s  Interior Design and Architecture program. Her studies abroad as well as her work in Fashion & Film instilled in Noe a distinctive approach to design, and it is from all facets of the arts that she now draws inspiration when conceptualizing and building unique environments.

Her love of Mid Century and Organic Modern Design and designing custom pieces for each individual client, their spaces, and their natural surroundings is something Noe finds inspiring as well as integral to the design process. She is grateful to have had the opportunity to design spaces created by architects Frank Gehry, Gregory Ain, and Edward Killingsworth. ‘I love to mix the old and the new, the modern and the traditional. I believe that in order to curate a wonderful space one must listen to the stories that have already been told within it, and then begin to write the new ones that will unfold.’

Noe has designed residential, hospitality, commercial, retail, and event environments throughout Hawaii, California, New York, and the Caribbean. Noe’s designs have been featured in publications including Architectural Digest,  The Los Angeles Times,  Angeleno, C Magazine,  & Allure.
